Watch on YouTube

A webinar for service providers who work with cis and trans gay, bi and queer men, whether in community organizations, healthcare, mental health or related fields.

Rahim looks at how queer and trans men navigate connection seeking, and at the conflicting scripts they receive from dominant culture and from queer subcultures about casual sex and long-term relationships. The session covers innovations and challenges in queer relationships, experiences of apps and hook-up culture, good practice in psychosocial and STBBI communication, and helpful ways to talk about shame, envy, isolation and substance use. It closes with practical emotional hygiene strategies.
