Family, faith, caste, class, race, migration, sexuality, gender, disability, geography, and generation can all affect what feels familiar. Some cards may fit closely, some partly, and others not at all.
Cards explore themes such as Duty, Sacrifice, Respectability, Achievement, Strength, Protection, Emotional Restraint, Gratitude, Self-Reliance, Pleasing, Perfectionism, Loneliness, Anger, Grief, Friendship Between Men, Family Obligation, Intimate Partnership, Chosen Family, Conflict and Silence, and Legacy.
